eventsSpain is one of the world’s most popular places for its beautiful beaches, exciting events and festivals. This city is a treasure chest for its unforgettable scenery.
A two-day celebration of Fiesta of Saint Antoni will be held from January 16, 2009 to January 17, 2009. This commemorates the farm animals’ patron saint. The fiesta of Saint Antoni is a colorful and fun event where participants are dressed up with animal costumes and parade throughout the town. At the city square, a fire will be lit at night that is used to defend against evil spirits. Mostly there are a lot of drinks and food for sale and the participants will sing classical songs in honor of the saint while presenting dances all around the fire.
The Tamborrada de San Sebastian is one of the renowned festivals in Spain. This is a march to the noisy drums sounds, as the drummers parade all through the entire city at night. This will be celebrated from January 19, 2009 to January 20, 2009.
From February 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009 will be the celebration of the International Flamenco Festival to be held at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. This festival is the period for Flamenco concerts, which will be conducted in Villamarta Theater where people will be given an opportunity to join in the Flamenco workshops and master classes. The best practitioners the world over will visit the momentous city of Jerez to present at the theater. A number of art exhibitions and cultural events will run throughout the city’s festival.
